On Saturday, August 4th, 2025, the grand launch of the D’Titi Innovation Hub took place at the Okefoma area in Ilorin, Kwara State. This remarkable initiative aims to contribute to the digital world by equipping individuals and organizations with essential tech skills, fostering a future-ready community.
In his opening remarks, Ibraheem Abdul-Rasaq, the visionary founder of D’Titi Innovation Hub, shared a heartfelt narrative of his personal journey into the tech world. From humble beginnings, Abdul-Rasaq recounted his early struggles, driven by a desire to find innovative solutions to everyday challenges. He spoke of how his passion for technology grew over the years, transforming from a curious learner into a tech entrepreneur. His transition into the tech industry was fueled by a determination to empower others, particularly youths and secondary school students, with the skills needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. “D’Titi Innovation Hub is more than just a tech center,” he emphasized, “it’s a vision to nurture talent, foster creativity, and inspire growth in our community.” He also mentioned that the hub will focus on training individuals from different age groups, welcoming both children and adults as students. “We will ensure to provide the right learning environment that enables all ages to thrive and leave with the best of skills,” he added.
The ceremony was further elevated by the presence of Dr. Yunus Abdulrasheed of the University of Ilorin, who officiated as the chief launcher. His participation highlighted the critical role of academic institutions in fostering innovation and digital literacy.
A highlight of the event was a compelling lecture by Ibrahim Zulkifli, Founder of No Code Academy, titled “Empowering Nigerian Youth with Essential Digital Skills for Global Competitiveness.” Zulkifli emphasized the importance of equipping young people with foundational digital skills to thrive in a competitive global economy. He discussed the significance of fostering a strong digital economy, stressing how essential skills like programming, data analysis, and cybersecurity can open doors to high-paying jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities. “In this digital age, the youth must be prepared to not only consume technology but to create and innovate with it,” Zulkifli stated. He highlighted the importance of critical thinking, problem-solving, and continuous learning in staying relevant in the fast-paced tech industry.
Okalawon Muhammad Olayiwola, a co-founder of the hub, also took to the stage to highlight the growing significance of technology in today’s world. He underscored the importance of digital literacy in driving economic growth and societal transformation, encouraging attendees to actively engage with the resources provided by the hub.
The D’Titi Innovation Hub offers a wide array of training programs in areas such as web development, mobile app development, data analysis, digital marketing, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, machine learning, IoT, robotics, graphic design, and video editing. These comprehensive programs aim to equip participants with practical skills that are in high demand in today’s digital economy.
A special focus of the hub is its commitment to community development, aiming to provide subsidized training to underprivileged youths, thereby fostering inclusivity in the tech industry.
